January- On the Move Quiz
We hosted our very first "On the Move Quiz", this was a unique quiz with over 170 participants where you moved pub every two rounds to continue with the quiz. This was the first of our Field Development Fundraisers which as you can see from the video was a major success:
April - Split the Bucket
April saw the launch of our Split the Bucket initiative, this, while not a new idea, is one which is very beneficial in our fundraising efforts for our new development. This can be played in almost any local business, while it can be also be played online below here. We are currently averaging a pot of €2000 per month so make sure you have your ticket in.
May- Darkness into Light
On Saturday May 6th we held our first Darkness into Light walk as a community. This was a fantastic success with over 70 participants and over €1000 raised, this was an excellent community effort all round.
May/June-Best of the Far West
In May/June we held the Best of the Far West tournament which was a throw- back to the Keaneland Cup. With Lismore, Cappoquin, Ballyduff, Shamrocks and Tallow entering, this was a knockout hurling tournament. Tallow were the winners of the tournament vs Cappoquin on a score of 1-20 to 0-20. We look forward to growing this competition next year.
